Dark Places

Alley

Dark Places

There are some places so dark I dare not enter

One day I’ll find one of those places again

Just as I found them as a small child

I don’t mind the dark anymore

I find cool comfort

These days in the night

It’s a time to think and write

It’s a walk downtown among artists

Conversations of the spoken and unspoken word

Sunflowers and exotic dishes  shine and I come alive once more

  1. Beautiful imagery. The poem reminds me of the solitude that I seek at times…where thoughts are welcomed and dreams come to life.
