Sun shinning within an Iris bloom today
Velvet petals soft as a cloud and the color of blood
Surrounds the core of a curved heart
I could only imagine this beautiful flower
In abstract terms until just now
When in a sublime moment of insight
I looked with my heart and forgot all else
